A knowledge reindex fails with miscellaneous database error

When running the command pdm_k_reindex +f to reindex Service Desk Manager knowledge content an error may be received "miscellaneous database error".


A Service Desk Manager environment configured to connect to a database that has database replication configured against the knowledge content tables


If Database Replication is configured against the knowledge index tables this error may be seen.


If Database Replication will be enabled, it should be completed following the guidelines outlined here:


Once the knowledge tables are excluded from the replication process, the knowledge index should complete successfully.
