A CABI User is not able to log into the BI Launch Pad.

Issue:

Users are unable to access the CABI application.  The SIA (Server Intelligence Agent) version 2.0.6.0 status is 'starting'.  The customer is unable to stop or start it.

 

The Apache Tomcat service status is 'stopped'.

 

When trying to access the CABI application, the user receives an error message:

The CMS system database is not available. This error cannot be rectified by 

the end user. Report this error to your system administrator or database 

administrator. (FWM 02088) 

 

Rebooting the CABI machine does not resolve the issue.  The resolution laid out in TEC1590682 Errors attempting to log into the BI Launch Pad in Spectrum Report Manager does not resolve the issue.

Environment:
Spectrum 10.0.0CABI 4.3 SP1 Apache Tomcat 6.0.24Windows
Cause:

The SQL Anywhere service is not running on the CABI server, and/or the OneClick server port is overlapping with one of the CABI ports. 

Resolution:

Start the SQL AnyWhere service on the CABI server.

Restart the OneClick server.

Additional Information:

If neither this document nor TEC1590682 resolves the problem, here is some troubleshooting data that could help:

 

Is the user administered by LDAP?  Did the Windows login user name or password change? 

 

Run the command  'msinfo32' and check for conflicting versions of SQL or ODBC drivers.  Make sure there is at least 16GB of memory, which is minimum recommended by SAP.

 

Launch the Windows Event Viewer, look in the Application and System event logs for system, user and application changes that occurred before the problem started.  Also look for errors and warnings.
